FIFA PRESIDENT CONGRATULATES KEITH MWEEMBA ON ELECTION AS FAZ PRESIDENT

The President of FIFA, Mr. Gianni Infantino, has officially congratulated Mr. Keith Mweemba on his recent election as the President of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).
In a letter dated 11 May 2025, addressed to President Mweemba, Mr. Infantino extended his “warmest greetings and sincerest congratulations” and praised Mweemba’s knowledge, leadership, and passion for the game. He noted that these qualities will play a vital role in the continued development of football in Zambia.
“You can count on my personal support and the help of FIFA to achieve this goal,” Infantino stated, reaffirming FIFA’s commitment to supporting Zambia’s football journey. “The doors of FIFA are always open if you wish to discuss our sport, its development, and the promotion of its values.”
FIFA also extended congratulations to the newly elected Vice-President and Executive Committee Members, wishing them success in the challenges ahead and encouraging them to leave a lasting legacy for the future of Zambian football.
The football community across Zambia and beyond has welcomed this international recognition and support from FIFA, viewing it as a strong foundation for the new FAZ leadership to elevate the sport to greater heights.
